SOLID WOOD SERIES

Starting with rough sawn timber, I machine and laminate into a large blank. I then draw the design, usually takes a few goes to get it right, before the cutting and sanding start, lots of sanding….I prefer to use an oil for finishing but have recently experimented with matte finish solid black with really highlights the grain figuring.

Walnut, Oak, Ash and Rosewood are favourites.

I have made a few commissions using the clients own wood.
